Zhang Zhihe was a Chinese poet during the Tang Dynasty (8th century). He was also a government official before being banished, which led to Zhang Zhihe spending the rest of his life secluded in Huzhou. His most famous work is probably “A Fisherman’s Song“, a series of 5 poems depicting the life of fishermen written on a banana leaf during a gathering. The poems became famous only after the author’s death, which happpened shortly after he wrote them.
