This week we leave contemporary writers aside and share a poem by one of the great haiku masters.

Buson studied both Japanese and Chinese poetry and his haiku were often accompanied by his paintings, which made a more diverse and individual set of works than his main historical influence, Basho. This version of the poem was translated by Gail Sher
