The bones
silently this time
returned across the ocean
Taneda Santoka spent 16 years of his life as a mendicant Zen priest: It is estimated that he walked about 28,000 miles during his life as a monk. His life was filled with tragedy, he tried to commit suicide numerous times, and at the end he drank himself to death at the age of 58.
