Jennifer Doty was born and raised in the beautiful wilds of the Ozarks in southern Missouri. She was taught to value literature, music, the arts and spirituality. Her upbringing encouraged creativity, open mindedness and self-expression.
Always attracted to the outdoors, she draws much inspiration for her poetry from nature, as well as human nature. Her interest in poetry and writing as a form of self-expression began in her early teens, only recently is she beginning to publicly share her work.
Jennifer obtained a B.S. in Child, Adult and Family Services and an M.S. in Health Sciences. She has always had a passion for helping others. She raised 2 children and currently spends time helping with her four grandchildren. She enjoys family, writing, travel, photography, painting and working on improving her guitar skills.
