naviarhaiku373 – A lost child crying

A lost child crying
stumbling over the dark fields…
catching fireflies

The haiku of the week is by Yoshida Ryusui (1691-1758). Very little is known about him, except he’s often cited and quoted as a poet who exemplified the key element in haiku of kireji or cutting word.

Seven days to make music in response to the assigned haiku: to participate, visit https://www.naviarrecords.com/about/naviar-haiku
